Our Mission
We Matter Mental Health Services, LLC’s mission is to provide excellent mental health interventions to all seeking healing. We aim to become leaders in healthcare by training and empowering the next generation of clinicians, especially clinicians of color and those working in rural areas.

Who We Are
Our story

We Matter Mental Health Services was founded in 2020 by Liz and Carl Buford with a vision to bridge gaps in mental healthcare for marginalized communities. From the beginning, management's goal was to create a practice that not only provided access to licensed professionals equipped to serve these populations with cultural sensitivity but also extended its impact through consulting agreements with institutions looking to enhance their community healthcare programs.
Additionally, We Matter recognized the importance of nurturing the next generation of mental health professionals. Over the years, the organization has invested in building up emerging therapists through affordable supervision, mentorship, and ASWB exam preparation, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the field's demands. By engaging at every level from individual client care to corporate partnerships and therapist development, We Matter strives to strengthen the mental health landscape, fostering both immediate support and long-term professional growth.
